Recognizing our Volunteers Volunteer extraordinaire, Dave Volunteers are essential to any Pony Club event. Such is the case for Dave Raaum. Devoted grandfather to one of our long-time members, Dave is often seen at our events capturing our memories with his fantastic photography. He also hosts a informative blog at RiverDogsX showcasing his experience with photography and highlighting some of the sights of Central Texas.  Dave has added his expertise with meetings and planning to our officer meetings and we look forward to working with him at future meetings.  In appreciation of Dave's support of Hill Top Pony Club, we recognize him with a USPC Volunteer pin to proudly wear at our events and a copy of The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse by Charles Mackesy.    Hill Top Pony Club (HTPC) started in the Liberty Hill area (north west of Austin) in 2007. The club base is still located in the Leander-Liberty Hill area with members ranging from Manor in the east to Salado in the north. We are a small club, with members ranging in age from seven-year-olds to adults.  We use different locations in our area for mounted meetings based on the topics we are targeting. Members must provide their own mounts for meetings. Riding, however, is not a prerequisite for participating in one of our meetings, as Hill Top provides many horsemanship based opportunities. Our goal is to foster the love of learning and the development of good horse management skills. Pony Club is the largest equestrian educational organization in the world.
